The midnight of August 14, 1947 is memorable for each Indian, as it is the time when India got independence from the mighty Britishers. Since then, the red letter day is celebrated with great pomp and show across the length and breadth of India. The 64th Independence Day was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm in the school. The programme began with the hoisting of Tri Colour by the Chief Guest DIG Bareilly Mr. Gurbachan Lal, our Principal Mrs. Urmila Vajpai and Members of Management Committee Mr. Nayan Jeet Singh Sobti and Mr. Charan Pal Singh Sobti followed by the National Anthem sung by the school choir. The choreographed dances by the students were equally mesmerizing. The main attraction of the event was the 'Investiture Ceremony' through which the students were facilitated with their respective epaulettes and badges after administering the oath of the office by the Honourable guests, they all pledged to put forward their best for the betterment of the school.
The speech by Himanshu Gupta of Class X, reminded the listeners of the true meaning of patriotism. the inspiring words by the guest were the real motivators for the students. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks given by the Principal, blessing the students and all those present.
